Dear Readers,
We have completed another successful year of publication, filled with great milestones for the Turkish Medical Student Journal. As TMSJ completes its 12th year of publication, continuing its noble mission of including medical students and early career researchers at every stage of scientific publication, I complete my five years as an editor and two years as editor-in-chief of this journal.
Over the last five years, I’ve had the honor of working with the talented and dedicated editorial team and advisory board of TMSJ. It is thanks to my experiences and time working with them that I was able to grow as a person, researcher, and professional. I have met countless medical students, doctors, academics, and contributors whom I deeply appreciate for their passion and drive for scientific advancement. TMSJ has come to be an integral and unifying part of a community of people whom I trust will make the future a better place.
Now, I pass the torch to Ekin Lâl Akat. In the four years I’ve worked with her, she has shown her self-devotion and endless dedication to TMSJ’s mission. She embodies the high ethical quality and scientific rigor TMSJ has shown to uphold, and I am in no doubt that she and the valued editorial team of TMSJ will work tirelessly for the advancement of medical research through supporting early career researchers.
I will always remember my years as an editor in TMSJ with fondness and joy. I am certain that our present and future editorial teams will uphold the standards and vision of this valuable journal.
I am grateful beyond words to everyone who has supported TMSJ in this journey, and I am excited and hopeful for the future they will create.
I extend my warmest wishes and bid you a fond farewell.
